It's been a pretty
great last couple of weeks! Lots of meetings and exchanges with other sisters
but it's all been so fun!
This
week President Grant (President Mullen's new counselor) gave us a training on
Keeping the Sabbath Day holy and it was so good. He shared with us videos
from a conference with the Quorum of the Twelve when they met together to
discuss this topic and it was so powerful. We discussed how our actions
on the Sabbath day should reflect on our Savior and our LOVE FOR HIM. I
loved that. It made me really think about the things I do on the Sabbath
day (especially before my mission) and how I can change them to show my love
for the Savior. A.k.a. no more homework on Sundays for me! But I think
that coolest thing that I learned is that we talked about how partaking of the
Sacrament isn't just renewing our baptismal covenant. Nowhere in the
scriptures does it say that it's a renew of just our baptismal covenant.
But it's a renewal of ALL of our covenants. That blew my mind! So cool.
Definitely something more to think about as we're taking the Sacrament each
week.
